Food migration for Fifi and Yoyo

The maid started the migration of food to Innova Puppy formula for Yoyo and Fifi.
They seem to like the new food, and are adjusting well.

Great. Cannot wait till the food migration is complete. Just want them to be on a full Innova diet.

Hope that will also reduce their body smell a little. They do smell a little stronger than Coco and Hugo who are almost 'odourless'.

Will also be shopping for some 'perfume' for the puppies so that i can have them smelling nice all the time.

Heard brushing them daily, with sprays of conditioner (nice smelling ones) will also help in their body smell.

Yoyo fell into the fish pond

Maid told me that Yoyo was playing with Coco and Hugo in the garden in the morning. Fifi is still uneasy to step into the garden, so she stayed close to the door but watching the others play.

Yoyo was chasing Coco and Hugo when he fell into the fish pond.

Lucky the maid has been supervising them, and Yoyo was whisked into the bathroom for a clean up and blow dry session. My my. Just like Hugo, who was tricked by Coco into running into the swimming pool. Haaaaaa.

Apparently, Yoyo can swim very well, and he seem unaffected by the incident.

CUTE!!

Dog harmony

Quite happy to see that the 4 dogs are playing together, and have sort of adjusted and accepted each other within 1 week. i hope this harmony continues (cross my fingers).

Read in some pet forums that some additions to the family take weeks to months to be accepted by the older dogs, and some turn aggressive. I am glad at least this is not happening in our house.

Fifi and Yoyo are the playful puppies, but they have good temperaments. They are not fussy eaters, they sleep when told to, play with each other and Coco and Hugo, and are relatively easy to handle. For that, i am really thankful.

Coco and Hugo are great too. Their temperaments are outstanding, and they are actually very patient with the new entries. While Coco display a little jealousy at the start, she has been very nice and tolerant when the young ones try to paw her, or irritate her. Never see her bully or snap at the little ones.

Hugo is highly tolerant with the new puppies. He just lie there and let them jump on him, or do whatever they want. When they get a little overboard, Hugo just walk away and move to another location (which did not really work as they follow him and continue irritating him.)

Just hope this harmony continues, and they will truely become a close family among each other. By next Sunday, i will have the maid to start migrating them to the new food - Innova Puppy formula, and add apple cidar vinegar to their water.

1st night together

The maid has decided to let Fifi and Yoyo zzzz with Coco and Hugo in the same room from today onwards.

As we worked late today, we were really surprised to find all 4 dogs in the kitchen, without being put into 2 separate areas behind the safety gate. WOW!!!!

Apparently, the maid feedback that Coco was ok with Fifi and Yoyo, and they played together, with no growling or snarling situations. Hugo was fine with everyone (as usual).

Went tip-toed later in the night to check out on them, and found Coco zzzz in the same bed-cushion with Fifi and Yoyo, which was remarkable. Initially, Coco always walked away when the 2 babies tried to come close and share the beddings. But now, it seem that she has accepted them as part of the family.

Really thrilled and delighted!

Yippy!!!!

Bath time for Fifi and Yoyo

Fifi and Yoyo have such strong body smell!! Decided to give them a good bath.
After their nap, Fifi and Yoyo are rushed into the bathroom.

Surprisingly, both Fifi and Yoyo are easy to handle in the bathroom, and are easy to clean and groom. Cleaned Fifi's ears. Yikes! The vet was right - she is really dirty. OMG. I hope i got most of the gross stuff out.

Put on clothes for Fifi and Yoyo too. They just look so adorable. Now all 4 puppies wear nice tops and look really cute to the bits.

Hugo is fine

This morning, Hugo looks great and has resumed to his normal self.

Coco and Hugo went for a long walk with the maid, and apparently, they enjoyed it, and regained their appetite. :)

Fifi and Yoyo are grounded at home, since they are still small and we did not want to them be exposed to the cold (and dirt) outside until they are slightly more used to the environment here. Fifi is still timid to walk around in the garden, so i guess she will not be ready to go for her walk in the community.

Last night, we tried to put the 4 dogs together to see if they can zzz together. Nope!! Have to separate them. Fifi and Yoyo are hyper active and only want to play, and that disturb Coco and Hugo - especially Coco, who looks irritated.

To avoid ill feelings, we separated them, but Fifi and Yoyo went whinning as they want to play with the big sister and brother :@. But they too soon fall asleep :).

Fifi and Yoyo having fun

Coax Hugo to eat

It is just so difficult to coax Hugo to eat.

Finally, after sitting with him for at least 20 minutes, he managed to eat. He ate some in the afternoon, and evening, so i guess his intake for the day is sufficient.

The maid mentioned that she will bring them out for a walk from tomorrow. That should increase his appetite (since he will be hungry after the walk).

Hope he is ok again.

Hugo not doing well after vaccination

Poor Hugo is suffering from some reaction after his vaccination shot.

He became restless, and always rubbing his face against the cushion, and tired.

At least he ate and drank which assured me that he is actually quite ok, just a little uncomfortable or unwell from the shot.

Place him onto the couch with lots of blanket, and make him comfortable. He is zzzz now. Hope he feels better later the day or tomorrow.

Coco on the other hand is ok, and is behaving normally.

Vet visit

All 4 dogs went for their vet visit this morning.

Coco and Hugo sat behind with the maid, while i held onto Fifi and Yoyo. But had to have Fifi wrapped up in a blanket towel as she suffers from car sickness and will really drool.

The visit went well. Fifi and Yoyo got their general health check and they passed with flying colours :). Fifi just have some ear wax built up which i will need to ensure is cleaned off during the routine grooming session.

Poor Coco and Hugo have their annual vaccination and deworming. Hugo did not take the injection very well - very sore and angry about the session. He seem to be a little stressed out from the session too. (Lucky this is going to be an annual event only).

Also did not the insurance papers for Fifi and Yoyo.

The vet was nice enough to clip all the 4 dogs' nails and checked out their ears :). Yippy!!

Lunch and nap

After lunch for Fifi and Yoyo, it's nap time for them.

Coco ate some, while Hugo had not eaten enough. Guess they are still affected by the new babies.

Have all 4 put back into the family room, and soon everyone is trying to zzzzzzzz.

Coco - on her counch
Hugo - baking himself under the sun
Fifi and Yoyo - in the cushion

Morning nap - on Boxing Day

After the car ride and some refreshment, all 4 dogs are put into the family room with lots of cushions and blankets and coaxed to zzzzzzzzz.

Coco being the most 'princess', demanded to be carried onto the couch where she has her private corner. Very soon, she is zzzzzz with her toy rabbit, next to us.

Hugo zzz on the cushion next to the couch. As he is getting really comforty, Fifi decides to join him by sitting at his rear and putting her cute little face on his butt. Hugo has the initial intention to move out, but after some coaxing, he stay put, and does not seem to mind too much of the little friend sleeping beside him after all.

Then Yoyo comes along and sleeps next to Fifi, making her a sandwich between Hugo and her brother. :)

It is a really cute sight!!! Think after a while, Hugo will get quite used to them. The challenge is now to get Coco to be as comfortable with the 2 new babies so close to her too.

Joy ride on the car

It is the maid's day off today.

So everyone, including the 4 dogs sent her off in the car.

As unsure if Fifi and Yoyo will pee in the car, we layered the back with 1 thick blanket and another towel. Then put all 4 dogs on them.

Hugo is his usual self. Relaxed in 1 corner and not moving.
Fifi is drooling and has that i-am-going-to-puke look. Very quiet and lie flat.
Coco is super hyer active, kept moving around and whinning at times - either she associates car ride as something not so positive, or she knows the maid will not be in the house today.
Yoyo is the BEST traveller. He is calm, lies next to you, and at times stands up a little to see the scenary. So impressed with him.

Sure enough, when we reached home, Fifi threw up. Confirmed - motion sickness patient.

Sigh. Tomorrow's vet visit (via car) will be challenging :(

End of day - Christmas

Throughout the day, to get both Coco and Hugo get used to Fifi and Yoyo, we are all busy moving the 2 groups of puppies in and out. Let them spend some time together, then some time apart etc.

By evening, it seem that Coco and Hugo have gotten a little more used to them. Hugo is still the most reserved of the whole lot. He will sit in one corner and watch. Coco on the other hand, took on a more 'supervisory' role. She will follow either Fifi and Yoyo and see what mischief they are up to. But when they get over-friendly, Coco will flee :).

Hopefully, in another few days when they are more familiar with each other, they will be able to be put in the same room - even during zzz time.

Smelly Yoyo

Now we know why there is such a strong smell when Yoyo and Fifi came.

1 big piece of shit was stuck to Yoyo's rear. No wonder.

After the nap, he woke up and went around the house like trying to shake something off.

Rushed him to the bathroom to have the stubborn debris washed off and blew dry him. Now he is happy and jumping around.

Coco seem to be upset with the new entry :(. And she is 'angry' with me. Hope she recover from this in a couple of days. Coco and Hugo will always be the top favourite.

Think she is also tired due to lack of sleep. So now, i put them napping again in the family room while i watch my TV. Earlier, when Yoyo ran out from the kitchen and came into the family room where Cooc and Hugo were zzz, Yoyo jumped on Cooc and Coco sort of growled at him as she was fed up with being disturbed in her sleep. :(
Just hope their chemistry will develop subsequently.

All zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Guess all 4 of them (Coco, Hugo, Fifi and Yoyo) did not sleep at all last night (or should i say morning) - busy checking out each other, and getting used to have other dogs in the family.

Now all of them are zzzzzzzzzzzzz in their respective sections (have put Fifi and Yoyo back to their area so that they can eat their food). How cute :)

Think will not play with them too much today. Will just bring them out later after lunch when Fifi and Yoyo have eaten their lunch. Then let them go eliminate in the garden when the weather is warmer.

Meal time

As Coco and Hugo are on Innova Adult food, while Fifi and Yoyo are on Eukanuba Puppy formula (for the moment, until i migrate them to Innova Evo Puppy food), the maid has a real challenge when it comes to meal time.

Lucky we have 2 sets of safety gates installed so that they can be separated when coming to feeding. Not to mention Fifi and Yoyo need to eat 3 times a day, while Coco and Hugo only 2 times each day.

Coco seems to like to Eukanuba food smell - always sniffing and staring hard through those gates :). But no no, i hate these grain-filled commercial food, and will definitely migrate Fifi and Yoyo out of these really soon.

What a crowd!

Fifi and Yoyo really need a bath after sat. They do smell really strong. Yikes!!!

Fifi and Yoyo arrived!!

Both pomeranians arrived and in great shape.

The trip to cargo village was a night mare (as usual). The process there is really one of the kind. You do part of the doc in 1 building, then walk to another building which is about 5-10minutes away, then return to the 1st building, then another one to stamp and wait for the collection. Sigh. The flight was delayed and with all these delays, we only reached home by 3.30am.
@_@

The 1st day, the 4 dogs seem ok together. Fifi and Yoyo seem really energetic. Coco and Hugo were considerable more reserved but accepting. Let's hope they become good friends in the next few days.

Air cargo import office called

Was surprised to receive a call from air cargo import office.

They called to check on Fifi and Yoyo's arrival tomorrow.

From the past Have faxed the import licence to the import department for quicker turnaround.

Hope we doexperience with Coco and Hugo, we did not receive any confirmation from the import department and service level was lousy. But this round, i am delighted with their assistance and their initiative to call to confirm.

Hope we will not get lost tomorrow when going to Cargo Village (which we did when we picked up Coco and Hugo the other time).

Wonder if Fifi and Yoyo will be well taken care of at the Frankfurt airport - it must be freezing there. Hope they have enough food, water, and most importantly, something to keep them warm.

Coco is puppy cute

Coco's hair on the face has grown longer, and now she is looking puppy cute :)

She now goes around the house, giving everyone the bambi-eye, poor-me look, and everyone will just give in to her wants (eg threats, scratch on her belly etc). Just adorable.

She develops this habit with me now, where she will stand on her hinds, and looks at you intensely until you pick her up. Always like this when we are having dinner, or watching tv etc. :)

Hugo's hair is still quite short, so is still short of that little bit of puppy-cuteness. But still, he's a handsome boy :).

Hugo just like to lie close to everyone for companionship, and he does not mind the sister getting all the hugs and patting. How gracious.

Sometimes when he is tired or bored, he will just lie down, and often expose one side of his ears. Coco will happily walk past, sit down, and start licking his ear. And never once, he moves or snaps at the sister. He just lie there and let Coco do whatever she wants.

Wonder when Fifi and Yoyo join the team, how will it affect the chemistry!! Cannot wait!!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Dubai is getting so cold. This morning is it less than 14 degree cel. Goodness. Had great difficulty crawling out of bed.

Maid tried to bring Coco and Hugo out for a walk. But after having dressed them with their clothes and harnesses, both dashed back to their beddings and blankets when the door was opened. BRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Too cold i guess.

Now, Coco and Hugo are hiding under their blanket, and apparently, snoozzzzzzzzing off already. How lucky!!!!

Poor me, i have to work :(

Coco and Hugo excited of the new purchases

The new cushions and toys are here.

Coco and Hugo went crazy over all the new merchandises which i pull out of the box.

Coco and Hugo basically buried themselves in the new cushions which i have bought for the new puppies. Have to carry them off to avoid their scents imbedded on the new cushions :)

New clothes seem alittle small - so seem like only the poms can wear them. :(

Vet appointments for 4 dogs

Called and made appointment with my vet for 4 dogs on 27th Dec @ 8.30am.

Coco and Hugo will go for their annual vaccination and probably deworming. Fifi and Yoyo will undergo their health check, and probably also deworming.

What a crowd ... heee

Think i will apply for leave from office on 25th and spend 3 days for all 4 dogs. What a way to spend Xmas :)

Cannot wait to take pictures of 4 of them together. . will be a mad crowd.

Yappy!!

Import Licence approved!

This is quick.

The approval letter for both puppies are approved. Wow.

I am going to call the airline and confirm the 24th Dec schedule. Fifi and Yoyo are celebrating Xmas with us. Yahoo!!

Luxury beddings

My order of cushions and new dog house will be delivered tomorrow. A friend would be coming from Singapore and had agreed to help in taking delivery :).

Goody. Coco and Hugo will have new beddings too.

Was surfing on http://www.theritzyrover.com/ and saw some really adorable luxury beddings. Wow!!!!

Poms' blood test and related info received today

Yahoo!

The paperwork are received today. Have applied online for the import license. Hope i get the approval real soon.

Shipment booked

Air shipment has been booked for the 2 pomeranians for 24th Dec 2340 hrs.

Yahoo!!

Now just need to wait for the blood tests and medical reports before i can proceed with the import licence application. Keep my fingers crossed that the papers will be in really soon.

:)

New photos of Poms

Seem like the latest names for the pomeranians are quite fixed - Fifi (female) and Yoyo (male).

Received some new photos from Euro Puppy.

They are now in the state of their puppy uglies, where their fur will not look as nice as the adult hair is in the midst of growing out from their puppy coat. So, now, the puppies' coat is starting to thin out and look scruffy, which coupled with a growth spurt causes them to look gangly and scraggly.

From what i read, this will end after about 6-8 months, and the coat, face development and musculature begin to enter the adult stage and the “ugly” little poms will transform with a beautiful new coat.

Well, as long as they are healthy and happy puppies, i don't really care how their hair looks like :). They are still cute anyway.

Busy paying for products

The whole morning was spent on making internet banking payment for all the merchandise i have purchased for the dogs :)

Guess i will need to allocate a small little drawer or cabinet to have all the cute fashion accessories (clothes) to be hung up and stored. Heeeee.

Coco and Hugo are now so used to wearing their tees, that if you try to remove them without replacing another one for them, you will get a good nagging from them. How cute.

Coco is now wearing her favourite FBI outfit, and Hugo his FC Barcelona tee shirt. :)

Purchases from Singapore

Surfed online and while i would love to buy from US and UK, they are really just too expensive, and not to mention after having included the shipment costs!! Yikes.

So i guess, buying from Singapore will be the 'cheapest' (and more variety). Just need to get back from friends to bring back boxes of the items when they come to Dubai. :)

Will be buying from 4 stores:
1. Pet Lovers Centre.
- Innova puppy turkey & chicken 7.5kg
- Innova puppy turkey & chicken 3kg
- Innova adult dog turkey & chicken 7.5kg
- Innova evo dog turkey & chicken 3kg
- Knitted toy (basketball)
- Knitted toy (bone)
- Plush toy (strawberry)
- Squeaky toy - bone
(I would love to buy more dog food, but baggage limit of 30kg each time is the constraint)

2. Pet Fuze
- Strawberry Cushion
- Oriental Black Cushion (Large)
- Peppets House Brown
- R1018 Spikey Rubber Ball
- Wooof Oriental Black cushion
- Angel Harness Pink (Small)
- Donute Camou Grey cushion
(Coco and Hugo have destroyed many of the cushions i had bought for them too, so theirs need replacement too).

3. Dog Must Wear
- Cute Black Baby-Love-Me (Size S)
- Cute Red Baby-Love-Me (Size S)
- Cool Brown Crown (Size S)
- Cool Black Urban (Size S)
- Cool Red Urban (Size S)
- Cute Black Fish (Size S)
(More clothes!! Dubai is getting really cold, and the existing clothes are not enough for 4 babies :). Coco and Hugo are practically stuck in their bedding and hibernating due to the cold weather. Better get something to keep them really warm).

4. Dognamite Boutique
- Dremel Pet Nail Grooming Kit
- Wahl Stylique Trimmer
- Bungee Dog toy
(Some doubts if i need a nail grooming kit, but will see how. But i definitely need a hair clipper or trimmer esp with the dogs getting matted hair often from all their biting and chewing at each other).

Total bill come up to SIN$700. Argggg!!!

:)

Noisy bath

After grocery shopping and dinner in the evening, decided to give Coco and Hugo a good bath.

As the bathroom in the 2nd floor had already had the heater turned on since afternoon, we decided to have both puppies bathed upstairs to save on electricity.

Number 1 'victim' - Ms Coco. She sure know how to hide under the bedding and blanket when she see me taking all the shampoo, comb etc upstairs, and calling for her. :). Too bad, we whisked her upstairs.

Hugo was whinning and crying so loudly downstairs. He must be upset and worried about what we are doing to Coco. The maid said he was practically going bonkers, and running around all the room, whinning and looking for Coco.

After being done with Coco, Hugo was whisked upstairs. And OMG, Coco had the same whinning and crying situation like Hugo - only worse.

They are really inseparable!!!!

So, when Hugo was done, and 'returned' downstairs, both puppies had a crazy session of biting and chasing of each other, before settling to cuddle each other to zzzzz.

How sweet!!

I hope they will be as close to the new pom babies too.

Coco and Hugo napping

Been a while since we really spend quality time with Coco and Hugo ... last quarter of the year is always crazy with flying schedules and busy with work.

While we were working and watching TV in the family room, Coco and Hugo joined us ... more becos we have warmed the couch for them to nap in :)

Coco still has not mastered the art of jumping onto the counch (lucky - or else u never know if she will go peeing here and there when not being supervised). Hugo will only jump when being chased by Coco. So after much bambi-eye-cute-to-the-bits staring at us, we put them on the couch.

They sure KO-ed quickly :)

New Names Part 2

I knew it.

New names again. Haaa.

Now, new names like 'Fifi' and 'Yoda' came up.

Ok, let's see what's next. :)

Finally, Euro Puppy received the wired money, and they can proceed with the necessary blood test administration. Hopefully, we can get the puppies before Christmas :))

New names

There should be an endless debate in the names for the new pom babies.

Now, there are suggestions to have the names changed to Leila and Yoda.

Goodness. STAR WARS!!

Preparing for new poms

With the new pomperanian babies coming in end of Dec / early Jan, there's lots to prepare :). (don't want Coco and Hugo to fight with them when they try to share)

1. New bedding
2. New blanket
3. New toys
4. New food and water bowl
5. 2 x new harnesses
6. dry bath powder (heard it is not good to bath them too often)
7. New Innova Puppy formula (need to get this brought back from Singapore)

When their shipment is confirmed, will make an appointment with the vet to bring them down for the checkup :) Of course Coco and Hugo will also come along to have their annual vaccination done. :) What a crowd.

names, names, names

The usual debate on the names.

Seem like everyone like Fifi (for female) and Milo (for male). :)

Have to see where to house the 2 puppies in the first few days before letting them sleep together with Coco and Hugo. Think will arrange for the shipment to arrive on Thurs, so that Fri and Sat which are weekend in Dubai can be spent with all 4 of them, and ensuring they are all ok.

Guess the vet visit will be a real chaotic arrangement. Coco and Hugo are due for the annual vaccination, while Fifi and Milo will be in for their arrival inspection. What a CROWD :)

Female pomeranian is sold!

So upsetting.

The black female pomeranian that i wanted has been sold. Sigh!!

So, we will be taking another pomeranian puppy, which is the male's sister. Going to get a sibling pair just like Coco and Hugo.

Was hoping to have a black pomeranian due to the unqiue colour. So now, we will be having 2 brown pomeranians.

Hope there is no more 'mishaps'!

New members to be added to the family :)

Saw some really adorable pomeranian puppies on Euro Puppy. Fluffy and cute to the bits!

Was thinking of adding some new members to the family, and have Coco and Hugo accustomed to being around other dogs. It will be fun for them to have more friends to play with, not just with each other. Is going to be a real 'noisy' family :). Heeee.

Chose 2 pomeranian puppies - 1 male and 1 female. Think i will be naming them Pommy (male) and Winnie (female). :)

Cannot wait for the new additions by end Dec.

Yahoo!!

Hugo is the one with loose stool!

Coco seem to have recovered from her loose stool issue within a day. But then, Hugo starts to have the same problem. Poor guy!

The maid has to spread newspapers all over the floor to avoid him staining the flooring. He seem ok during the period - still drinking, eating and playing with the sister.

The problem lasted for about 3 days, and i was at the verge of making an urgent appointment with the vet to have him checked out. Was also thinking of buying some fresh pumpkin to help him with the hardening of the stool (read this from the forum).

Luckily, Hugo's loose stool situation improved last evening, and it seem that he has recovered :). Goody. Just hate to bring him to be medicated unnecessarily. :)
